PASTOR ALEXANDRE SILVA VAZ
Alew grew up in a typical Brazilian Catholic home with his brother
and sister. In 2000, at the age of 20, Alex was working with his
father at the "street market" in São Vicente when a missionary
from Calvary Chapel Corvallis invited him to church. Through
that invitation, the Lord saved a young man destined to become a
leader in the expanding work of Calvary Chapel in Brazil.
In 2003 the Lord opened a door for Alex to spend a year in the
US attending Calvary Chapel Corvallis' School of Ministry. After
graduation he returned to Brazil and immediately became a vital
part of the work in São Vicente.
Alex and Lilian were married in May of 2004. They served together in
ministry at Capela do Calvário de São Vicente until God called them
to move to Rio de Janeiro in March of 2006.
