Calvary Chapel Rio de Janeiro is a non-denominational, independent body of believers
associated with Calvary Chapel of Corvallis, Newport Coast Lighthouse, Pastor Chuck
Smith of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and the hundreds of Calvary Chapels around the
world.
Calvary Chapel Rio is a fellowship based on the distinctives associated with the
Calvary Chapel movement.
Calvary Chapel is not a denomination "per se". Though not a denominational church,
there are more than 1,000 Calvary Chapels worldwide. The heart of our church is that
we are a non-denominational fellowship associated with all who are in the body of
Christ.
Calvary Chapel Rio places great emphasis on prayer, evangelism, discipleship,
expository preaching through the whole Bible, and worship in Spirit and in truth.
